Description of Pharmacist includes : The Staff Pharmacist provides medication order review to assure the safety of medication ordering for patients in the hospital. The Staff Pharmacists supervises all activities in the pharmacy related to the dispensing of medications while on duty. This includes assuring the accuracy of all IV admixtures prepared by the pharmacy technicians or pharmacy interns. Responsibilities of Pharmacist includes : Responsibilities include entering medication orders into the pharmacy system reviewing each order for dosage appropriateness, drug interactions, drug duplications, drug allergies, and other patient specific drug factors. Staff pharmacists are expected to check all drugs for renal dose adjustments and clarify such adjustments with the prescribing physician. Pharmacists will work with the clinical pharmacists to assure that drug use is in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (Criteria for Use). Staff pharmacist supervises the work of pharmacy technicians closely assuring the quality of medications dispensed from the pharmacy. Requirements Requirements of Pharmacist includes : Bachelor or Doctorate of Pharmacy. Licensed Pharmacist. Able to work night shift 9pm - 7am.
